When it was originally developed, liposuction was a dangerous and painful procedure. All patients had to receive general anesthetics, and the recovery process was long and fraught with danger. In addition to this benefit, there is also an indirect cost savings that results from using laser liposuction which reduces the average cost of liposuction. Unlike previous liposuction surgeries, there is often no additional plastic surgery needed to lift or tuck the affected areas following the use of laser lipo. This is because the laser tightens the surrounding skin as it goes.

Remember that despite these technological advances, laser lipo is still a serious medical procedure, and there is some recovery time to be expected. Liposuction is generally only a part of an overarching quick weight loss program including a healthy diet and exercise.
